The Champion’s in the Fight to End Alzheimer’s Women’s Campaign has Launched

Bernadette Greatorex, representing MedOptions, has joined the Champion’s in the Fight to End Alzheimer’s.

Every 67 seconds a brain develops Alzheimer’s and two thirds of them belong to women- that’s more than 3.2 million women. And more than 60% of caregivers for people with Alzheimer’s and dementia are women, with many having to reduce their own workload or even drop out of the workforce altogether to care for loved ones.

Women are at the epicenter of this crisis and will be the driver in the solution. The experience of the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter is that things get done when women collaborate and put their amazing brains to work.  That is why we gathered a collective group of empowered women to launch the first “Champions in the Fight to End Alzheimer’s Women’s Campaign.”

Meet these inspirational women who have made a commitment to make Alzheimer’s a priority in their lives, work and philanthropy moving us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s.
